Tartary Buckwheat is grown in the himalayan region of Yunnan at an altitude of 2700 to 3200 meters!  Tartary Buckwheat also known as Indian Buckwheat is rich in rutin and quercetin, both of which are known to contain a high level of anti-oxidants!

Our Himalayan Black Tartary Buckwheat was expertly processed through roasting, wetting (to remove outer sheath) and then lightly roasted again.  It can be eaten directly but when brewed with boiling hot water makes a delicious tea, and can be used many times!  The brewed buckwheat kernels can then be eaten or added to your morning cereal or muesli!

Himalayan Black Buckwheat is the highest altitude grown buckwheat in the world.  Rich in flavor and anti-oxidants!
