Product Description

Yunnan Wild Grown Jiaogulan * Gynostemma pentaphyllum

Wild grown Jiaogulan (from Mangshi county of Dehong!Grown in the mountains of southwestern China for thousands of years, Jiaogulan is a wild herb that has been consumed as a tea or in soups. Jiaogulan is believed to have many properties similar to Ginseng, and has almost 3 times as many saponins (gypenosides) as Panax Ginseng.  Jiaogulan contains a plethora of anti-oxidants, adaptogens and plays a role in blood sugar and blood sugar regulation.

You can brew Jiaogulan much as you would a green tea, pu-erh or oolong.  Measure 5 grams per 100ml brewing device (gaiwan or cha hai).  Use 90-95c spring water and wash once briefly to activate the Jiaogulan.  Drink successive infusions.  Brewing time can increase after a few steepings (start with 25 seconds).

The taste is sweet with some bitterness to counter it. Drink regularly for benefits…  it takes time for your system to absorb enough gypenosides to bring noticeable energy and clarity boost.  Contains no caffeine whatsoever!

We will always sell the freshest most recent harvest…
